IBSS July Reveal!

Today at Itty Bitty Scrap Shack it was my friend Zoa and my reveal day of the July
Kit!! I will let you see my 2 layouts, I showed 4 things, and Zoa showed three! You gotta go there to see! LOL!! :) Her work is just BEAUTIFUL ~ take a peeky at
her blog if you have some time!! and she has FOUR kiddos and gets all that beautiful stuff done... She is my HERO!!!! I have 2 kids and cant get 1/4 of that done!

Ok enough rambling! Here is what I did! :)



and NO I am not gonna talk about that wild night! HA HA!!! :) Just know it was ALOT of fun... and went into the next day! ;)

So we are busy getting ready for our beach trip! Cant wait for those photos!!! YIPPEEE! I have already told the kids bring those SMILES!! :)

Recipe Share!

I HAD to share this recipe with you!! I just made it and it was sooo GOOD!
I got it from Becky Higgins Blog


CORN & AVOCADO SALSA

1 can white corn, drained
1 can black-eyed peas, drained
1/2 bunch green onion, chopped
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
4 med. tomatoes, chopped
3 avocados, chopped
1 pkg. Good Seasons Italian dressing mix

Mix together all ingredients and chill overnight.

I did only use 2 1/2 tomato's, since Steve and I arent crazy about them! I also added in some red onion... and my avocados were big so I only added 2! It was a BIG hit at our house and we will for sure be making it again! :) Like on the 4th of July when we go to Antzy Nancys BBQ!!

I got some scrappen done and will share that next week, I need to get a few more done for my DT assignment at IBSS when they are done I will just have a big ole blog entry of scrappy stuff!!

Our Concert!!!
Last night we went to see Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw at the White River Amphitheater ~ it was soooo FUN!! The weather was GREAT!! the show was FANTASTIC!!!!! We did stop by the casino for dinner and some FUN, we got there at the end of the 1st act, but in time for the other 2!! :)
We had great seats! I was able to sneak down the side to get some even closer photos!!!! :)

Something going on down front during the Indian Outlaw performance, Tim and his security pulled this guy out of the audience! and kicked him out of the show.. that was the excitement of the night! I want to know why! LOL!! At least he can say Tim McGraw himself yanked him up on stage and kicked him out of the concert.. he was right near the front row... I think we should have got to have his seat! LOL!!! :)
It was a FUN FUN night! NOW on to to the Toby Keith Concert Countdown!!! (24 days if you want to count with me!! :) )

Tonite we are off to the AquaSox game! The kids earned their free tickets from reading at school! they LOVE that!! and YEAH we have sun again today!! Think we will sneak to the park in a bit!!! First I want to TRY to finish a layout, or dare I say 2!! :) Dreams are FREE!!!

So we are getting some sunshine! YEAH! summer is coming! :) Tonite Steve and I are going on a DATE!! Out to dinner then off to see Tim McGraw in concert! I can hardly wait!!!!!

Happy Friday!! I am so ready for the weekend!! They say that the sun may be making an appearance- I sure hope so!!! :) I miss it! LOL!! I need it!!!

So we have had 3 days of summer vacation so far and really dont nothing much! LOL!!
Well we did make THIS

BLACKBERRY JAM!! My favorite!!! YUMMY!!! :)

I have been up in the scrappy room (which is gonna be getting CLEANED next week! Sigh it is pretty bad!! enough of that!) I will share when I finish ~ hopefully today!!
I did get some FUN new digi things from The Lily Pad it has some of the CUTEST things!! My sweet SIL Kimmie said it reminded her of things I liked! She was right! Oh my! Such fun things and some BARGIN prices on some holiday stuff! I did this yesterday just for fun,

I love this photo, how you can see their bare feet! To sweet! I have another one but this is the one uploaded so I used it! :) I LOVE this fun frame.. from the lily pad, and that flower... another set... Now to just find some time to work up some MORE fun stuff!!!

Tonite is BUNKO! Yeah moms night out! This weekend is Ginas birthday party! DANCE DANCE DANCE!! the theme is dance! YEAH!! That will be fun!!
So that is our weekend, tomorrow we are also going to our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant- good thing it is a 2 hour drive away from us, or I would be there every day! HA HA!!!

So that brings me to my next topic! I am gonna start yet another blog, well because the 2 I have arent enough ~ HA HA!! I want to start a place where I can track my workouts and eating... I have a journal but I dont write in it, I am always on the computer so I figure WHY NOT!! :) When it is going I will post here and if you have any YUMMY healthy recipes to share please do! I am always looking for YUMMY recipes!!!

We had so much FUN!!!! Thought I would share some photos!!

We had a really fun time today!! The sun came out~ the food was good, she loved her gifts... and Kimmie cleaned my kitchen! (THANK YOU!) it was a PERFECT day!!!

I realized I didnt scan the LO I made for my mom but if you look close in the photo you can see it~ the photos were from when she was about 6 months old! To cute! She liked the cake I made her.. here that is... I didnt want to share it before, in case she was peeking here and saw it!!!!

I got the idea from the Basic Grey Newsletter!!! Now I want one! LOL!!!

Happy Friday... well it is the day before the BIG party!! I am almost ready! YEAH! I have to finish a bit of cleaning then go to Costco and the grocery store... make 3 salads and the cake and I am DONE! (see nothing much left at all!!)

So yesterday I took the kiddos to the farmers market in Snohomish, and got THESE! Hello $28 for 4 BIG bundles of flowers! HOW can you go wrong??!!!

So they are in vases just WAITING for the party tomorrow!!!!

Been super busy with school stuff for the kids too, PARTIES!! Field Trips, Their field day!!!! They are out tuesday the 17th and we are ALL READY for summer vacation and some SUNSHINE! :)
Here is a photo I took of them after field day! AHHHH they are so cute and GOOD TO ME!! always giving me my photos! :)


So that is about all I got... today the nice UPS truck is gonna drop THISoff for me! YEAH! I cant wait til next week to PLAY with it! I LOVE it!! Soooo pretty!!!

Aren't you lucky!! LOL!! :) Really I am just taking a cleaning break... or stalling from doing any more I guess is more like it! LOL!!!!

Thought I would share a fun photo I took Wed. from the raven racer pizza party at the kids school!!! It was the coldest one we have been too! But still the rain held off for us!!! We ran/walked laps every wed. at the school, I went for both kiddos, Justin ran 286 (1st in his class ! YEAH! first time ever he has done that!) Amanda got 175ish.. that means mom got 461 total! YEAH! :) This is for my Foto Friday share at 2SCD's I love they do that, it is fun to see photos people take over the week!!!

Some stuff to share!

Happy WET thursday if your here where we are.... sigh... have I told you all yet I am TIRED of the rain.... it is June and so cold last week I almost took out my gloves for Justins last flag football game! SIGH!! OK enough of that! I have stuff to share!!

I joined this sketch class for some FUN! I LOVE her sketches, and am looking forward to scrappen with over 375 scrap buddies during it! :) She is having some pre-class challenges, and that is what I did for this LO using her sketch as inspiration! :)


Those were taking Dec. 06 of the kids for a gift I made mom for xmas! I knew when I saw the sketch those were the photos I wanted to use!!!

Some EXCITING news for my mom! She is racing in the Worlds Triathlon saturday in Canada!! GO MOM!!!! This article was in her local paper!!! How EXCITING is that!! We are so PROUD of her!!! KICK BUTT MOM!! (sorry for the language! LOL!!)

We are so busy getting ready for the last day of school, and moms party, which is here next saturday! so if you dont see me for awhile that is why! I have lots to do, and little time to do it! :) But THINK of the photos I will have when I get some time back! LOL!! :)

We did get to go boating last week, I got some fun photos, will share those later...
Think sunshine wishes PLEASE so the kiddos dont have to have their field day (their end of the year fun day) canceled tomorrow!

One FUN weekend!!! - Lots of photos to share!

We got to spend the weekend at Papa and Dedes cabin in Hoods Canal!!! Larry, Kimmie and Buggy (isnt her blog cute, I gotta figure out how to do that! :) ) brought up Papa and Dede so we had a good size group there to PLAY! :) The weather was BEAUTIFUL on saturday and sunday! We sooooo werent expecting this... I only had 1 pair of shorts for the kids! YIKES! but it is the canal, so we just let them wear them both days! LOL! and Monday it was time to go home and raining so into jeans they went! It was so nice Papa and Dede could join us, not sure how many more times we will get to do that all together so it was especially nice!!! We ate to much good food! :) It was vacation right! LOL!! We did play outside alot so I am hoping that evened it all out! The kids love the "beach" which is really just a ton of rocks and oyster shells and of COURSE Justins little crabbies he likes to hunt! Justin and Steve went Kayaking for the 1st time ever, or friends the Sari's were at their cabin and let them go out... they asked me but that is just to small of boat, and way to close to the water for me! LOL! I need a nice cushion to sit on! :) Then for the first time ever the kids went out in the small row boat by THEMSELVES!! Um lets just say I wasnt around when this was approved! LOL! But they had a GREAT time... so I guess that is ok! :)
and of course LOTS of bike riding, and some monkey in the middle! LOL!! What a fun weekend! It just really got me in the mood for SUMMER VACATION!!!!!! :) It is so close I can just FEEL it!!!! :)

The BEST day ever......

to quote Amanda! LOL!! Wouldn't you think so to if you got to do THIS (see photo) to your brother! LOL!! Ok it was equal they both had water balloons... they are just so good about being fair.... taking turns... NOT if it was me, it would have been a free for all! :)


Our weather was BEAUTIFUL last weekend! After our saturday trip to Bellingham this was how we spent sunday afternoon after football! Water balloon fights, sprinkler, and slip and slide... mom sat on the deck and took photos and read! Dad went to the dump! LOL! :) He was back for slip and slide action! :) Gonna share some photos of the fun here...

All is well in the Johnson house, we are counting down the days to SUMMER vacation! 19 school days left! :) There is so much going on now, trying to get everything in before the year is out! Field trips , end of year parties!!! The days will just fly by!!!

This weekend we are going to Hoods Canal with Papa and Dede, Larry, Kimmie and Buggy!
we are looking forward to that!!! I am praying the weather holds! Just no rain.... maybe a little sun! :)

So lets see on the home front we are on the count down to SUMMER VACATION! YEAH! one month and 3 days! Now if only the weather would get a bit better! They say by thur. I hope so! I am ready to MOVE to the sun if it doesnt come out soon!!! Steve is busy as always at work! Me the usual BEHIND on things! and Busy still!! I PROMISE I am going to get Thank yous out this week for My birthday goodies! and Ms. Amandas! Tonite our Justin is signing up for football (TACKLE!) he is so EXCITED, and MOM IS NOT! :( How can my little boy be so grown up to play TACKLE football! he is really enjoying the flag football he is playing this spring! (will share photos soon!) so I am sure he will love this... it is gonna take LOTS of dedication and hard work! Practice every day in Aug. M-F! and then when school starts 3 nights a week! OH my!!! Amanda is gonna play soccer but we havent heard about sign ups yet! Gonna be a busy fall sport time in the Johnson house! (YEAH lots of photos for Mom! :) )

Hoping to maybe sneak in some scrap time! I need to work upstairs on cleaning and clearing stuff OUT! but I feel the NEED to be in my messy space and create! LOL!!!

He was like ok... so for him it is National Sit by the TV day! HA HA! He never gets to do much of that on the weekends!!! So I am sure he doesnt mind!!

I cant BELIEVE it is MAY! It could be we had snow 2 weeks ago that I cant believe it, it could be that time goes sooo FAST! I think it is both! LOL!! :)

So I got this CUTE little photo holder thingy by 7gypsies I LOVE it! I had wanted one for so long... and finally just got it!! I cant wait to FILL it up! It holds 4 X 6 photos, so this layout is TINY! :) I plan to fill it with all the things that bring me JOY! :) Here is the 1st page ever done! My sweet girl at 6 weeks old!! Speaking of time flying as she is now EIGHT! SIGH!!!! I have more of the pages on order since it only came with 10! I needed it FULL! so I have 5 packages on the way!! Just wanted to share page 1 with you! I hope to get a few more in there~ This saturday is National Scrapbook Day so I hope to PLAY most of the day.. unless we take the boat out then it will be part of the day! :)

A little share!

I got to SCRAP today! YEAH!!! It is my challenge week at my friend Viv's store scrappersXchange in the gallery you will find the challenges!!! Come on in if you have time this week to play!!!

This is a little out of my comfort zone... I have a real hard time with white space (or rather red in this case!) and I dont like to toss in colors that arent in the scheme of the layout! But for this I did! the transparency has green and blue in it! :) I really like how it turned out! These are some of my favorite photos of the kiddos I took last Nov. for a gift photo I needed, they were being so GOOD I just kept on clicking away!!! :)

Rock Star Birthday Party and Tulip Feilds!

Well the party was a success and such a BEAUTIFUL day! Perfect Party and BBQ weather!!!! Amanda had a GREAT time!! We did make up and hair! Got some fun new toys! :) Had cake! (which we ran out of! OH NO!!! Note to self make 2 stars next time! LOL!!) I of course took LOTS of photos!!!!
She loved her Hannah Dress Tutu made her! I got that COOL Hannah door thing from my friend Julies online store so we had to have a few photos to make it look like Hannah was here, and trust me everytime you catch it out of the corner of your eye you think someone is at the door! LOL!!
The cake was made by me this year! Choc, toffee, and caramel! YUMMY!! I love the photo of Amanda sneaking some of it! :) It was her birthday otherwise she would have been in BIG trouble! LOL!!! Thanks to all for helping make her party so FUN!!

Tulip Festival Photos!

I cant believe one week ago we had SNOW on saturday! Sunday we went to the tulips, not much snow left, it ended up being a pretty nice day! I wanted to try and get some DIFFERENT photos then I usually get, so I got some different landscape photos, but of course I had to get the kiddos photos like always! :) We went to the street festival after the fields, didnt get much, I did get some yummy black berry bread that I MUST find the recipe for!! :) Out to dinner then home!! This is one of my FAVORITE parts of spring here... and so CRAZY snow was still around! :)

Think that is about all I have got to share, I plan on doing some scrappen this week, I need to get Thank You cards, done and I feel sooooo SCRAPPY! Wish me luck I find some time for that! :)

My BABY is 8!!!

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY AMANDA PANDA!!! :) We LOVE you!!!!!

I cant believe our BABY is 8 today! Time just FLEW to fast for me!
We had a FUN day today, she got to skip school and have her mom and me day!
We went shopping! :) Went to our SECRET chinese place, and got lunch togo for a picnic! Then home to play with her new toys! Tonite I am fixing her choice of dinner! Little smokies,(Like I make for our xmas snack! LOL!) chips and dip, and pasta salad, fancy all the way baby! LOL!!! :)

Have LOTS to do this week, her birthday party is saturday... so I will be a cleaning machine! Amanda of course is VERY excited about the party!!! Gonna be a ROCKSTAR theme! should be LOTS of fun!!!!

Some stuff to share!-like SNOW?!!

Ok so we had SNOW! and not just a little snow... like 8 inches of SNOW! GRRR I was so not a happy girl!! Now MY GIRL! She was happy!! As you can see from the LO I shared! That was her "Cannonballing" into the snow yesterday from the deck, thank GOODNESS the deck is only 18 inches off the ground!

The second LO is from last fall~ they were just hanging out AGAIN on the deck (looks different with no snow! yes I am BITTER! LOL!!!) I took the photo through the glass so they wouldnt know! :)

These layouts were done for a challenge at my friend Vivs Store ScrappersXchange she is having a BIRTHDAY CROP today!! Happy Birthday!!! Come on over if you have time LOTS of challenges!! Fun games!!!!

Lets see what else do I got other then SNOW! :) ok letting it go!! today we are gonna try to go to the Tulip Festival! this is the first time there maybe snow in our photos! We LOVE to go this weekend because it is the street fair... I hope the weather holds! I need TULIP PHOTOS!! (never mind I have years of them yet to scrap!! hee hee!!)

Justin has a football game first! he is LOVING playing... I am so glad, it is flag football... and it is so fun to watch him play!!!

Amanda is on the COUNT down to her birthday...in 2 days she will be 8, that is just not right! She is my BABY! Babies arent 8, BIG girls are! :(

I am so HAPPY to have finished up Amandas birthday invites!! They are in the mail now! YEAH! only 2 days later then I wanted! LOL!! They are pretty simple, but she LOVES them, and that is what counts!! Those stars are all silver not all colors like the photo, they have an iridescent look to them so they photo. funny!! As always I made the labels too! Amanda was so excited to see them yesterday!!! NOW on to my Thank Yous, then her Thank Yous then I am FREE to scrap!!! (or rather free to CLEAN! HA HA!!!) I am feeling so scrappy and really want to join some challenges at my scrappy sites! SOON very soon!!!!

Viva Las Vegas!! We are HOME!

What a GREAT GREAT time we all had on our trip to Vegas!! It was the BEST 30th birthday ever! (hey it is my story and I am sticking to that age!) hee hee!!!

First off a BIG THANKS to Steve for a GREAT trip!! Thanks to the kiddos for NOT fighting and being soooo VERY GOOD!!! Thanks to Mom and Nancy for giving up work and joining us!! and Thanks to Tom, Peg, and Christa for joining us for dinner on saturday!

So lets see where do I even start... how about where the gal at dinner on saturday night wanted to know if I had a special boyfriend to sit next to me in the center for the photo at dinner... um no ... but I have a special hubby and kids~ she was like OH I thought you were a teenager! YEAH she is my new favorite friend! HA HA! that was a big laugh the whole trip!! Or shall I start with the fact the van driver put 12 of us in a 10 seater van and was worried the whole trip he would get pulled over and fired! LOL! WHY he did this we dont know he kept cramming us in! or how about I start with the BEAUTIFUL sunshine, and shorts we got to wear all 5 days! :)

I cant pick! So how about I start here and give the highlites! I took 350 photos! but will share only a few here in the slide show!!! :) Be ready for some layouts to come! I also have a couple photos to scan and share with you!! But havent scanned yet this AM!
So we headed out last friday ~ our plane landed EARLY~ yeah!!! Nancys was late, so we all got there the same time! PERFECT!! Headed to the hotel, I didnt know where we were staying, to FUN at the Excaliber! I have shared some photos in the slide show in the daylite and nite lite! :) We get to our room to find one bed... Steve goes to FIX things.... by knocking on the ajoining door in our room! he got TWO rooms so the kids for the 1st time had their own room~ to say they were EXCITED is an understatement! LOL!!! so that was fun!! Then off to the strip we went for fun! :) We got to swim almost everyday! Got some FUN goodies, ATE lots! LOTS of pictures...some slot play! NO big winnings! But FUN! some FUN adult time out!! :) See those Fat Tuesday cups in the photo... yeah we filled them a couple times! hee hee! YUM!!! and FUN! :) Steve and I went to see Louie Anderson, he was soooo FUNNY!!!! We did a meet and greet before the show, that was cool~ I have a photo...one of the needs to scan! :)
We went to some fun restaurants... Margarittaville , Hard Rock, Toby Keiths Bar and grill to name a few ! Saturday night was our FANCY birthday dinner at Circo in the Bellagio.. YUM!!! We saw the water show that night.... a few times from our table and outside... I shared a photo of the watershow from up in the Eiffel Tower...
We got to go swimming a few days.. they have such odd pool hours..10-5pm ~ so we had to get that in.. the pool was soooo COOL! Oh we got to go see the Secret Garden at the Mirage... they had a BABY dolphin it was so cute! It was so neat to see them doing things... then we saw the white tigers, lions, and reg. colored lions and tigers!... we went to the shark reef too~ that was neat ~ , saw the pirate show at Treasure Island... took the kiddos to circus circus for some fun! Have I mentioned SHOPPING! oh yeah.. lots of fun... went to the M & M store 4 times! Margarittaville twice!, ABC stores.... um 10 times, Walgreens 25 times! LOL!! you get that picture! it was just a GREAT fun trip! We got home last night about 9pm, our plane was 30 minutes late, and to start with we didnt even have seats the plane was so FULL , BUT we got on, thanks to 4 people giving up seats and the gate agent getting us 4 seats, not in the same row but we had 2 and 2! YEAH! .... I am sure I will remember more, and will blog about that too~ so now comes the REAL FUN! LAUNDRY!! and unpacking!! :)
