A little share!

I got to SCRAP today! YEAH!!! It is my challenge week at my friend Viv's store scrappersXchange in the gallery you will find the challenges!!! Come on in if you have time this week to play!!!

This is a little out of my comfort zone... I have a real hard time with white space (or rather red in this case!) and I dont like to toss in colors that arent in the scheme of the layout! But for this I did! the transparency has green and blue in it! :) I really like how it turned out! These are some of my favorite photos of the kiddos I took last Nov. for a gift photo I needed, they were being so GOOD I just kept on clicking away!!! :)

Rock Star Birthday Party and Tulip Feilds!

Here are some birthday party photos!! :)

Well the party was a success and such a BEAUTIFUL day! Perfect Party and BBQ weather!!!! Amanda had a GREAT time!! We did make up and hair! Got some fun new toys! :) Had cake! (which we ran out of! OH NO!!! Note to self make 2 stars next time! LOL!!) I of course took LOTS of photos!!!!
She loved her Hannah Dress Tutu made her! I got that COOL Hannah door thing from my friend Julies online store so we had to have a few photos to make it look like Hannah was here, and trust me everytime you catch it out of the corner of your eye you think someone is at the door! LOL!!
The cake was made by me this year! Choc, toffee, and caramel! YUMMY!! I love the photo of Amanda sneaking some of it! :) It was her birthday otherwise she would have been in BIG trouble! LOL!!! Thanks to all for helping make her party so FUN!!

Tulip Festival Photos!

I cant believe one week ago we had SNOW on saturday! Sunday we went to the tulips, not much snow left, it ended up being a pretty nice day! I wanted to try and get some DIFFERENT photos then I usually get, so I got some different landscape photos, but of course I had to get the kiddos photos like always! :) We went to the street festival after the fields, didnt get much, I did get some yummy black berry bread that I MUST find the recipe for!! :) Out to dinner then home!! This is one of my FAVORITE parts of spring here... and so CRAZY snow was still around! :)

Think that is about all I have got to share, I plan on doing some scrappen this week, I need to get Thank You cards, done and I feel sooooo SCRAPPY! Wish me luck I find some time for that! :)

My BABY is 8!!!

HAPPY 8th BIRTHDAY AMANDA PANDA!!! :) We LOVE you!!!!!

I cant believe our BABY is 8 today! Time just FLEW to fast for me!
We had a FUN day today, she got to skip school and have her mom and me day!
We went shopping! :) Went to our SECRET chinese place, and got lunch togo for a picnic! Then home to play with her new toys! Tonite I am fixing her choice of dinner! Little smokies,(Like I make for our xmas snack! LOL!) chips and dip, and pasta salad, fancy all the way baby! LOL!!! :)

Have LOTS to do this week, her birthday party is saturday... so I will be a cleaning machine! Amanda of course is VERY excited about the party!!! Gonna be a ROCKSTAR theme! should be LOTS of fun!!!!

Some stuff to share!-like SNOW?!!

Ok so we had SNOW! and not just a little snow... like 8 inches of SNOW! GRRR I was so not a happy girl!! Now MY GIRL! She was happy!! As you can see from the LO I shared! That was her "Cannonballing" into the snow yesterday from the deck, thank GOODNESS the deck is only 18 inches off the ground!

The second LO is from last fall~ they were just hanging out AGAIN on the deck (looks different with no snow! yes I am BITTER! LOL!!!) I took the photo through the glass so they wouldnt know! :)

These layouts were done for a challenge at my friend Vivs Store ScrappersXchange she is having a BIRTHDAY CROP today!! Happy Birthday!!! Come on over if you have time LOTS of challenges!! Fun games!!!!

Lets see what else do I got other then SNOW! :) ok letting it go!! today we are gonna try to go to the Tulip Festival! this is the first time there maybe snow in our photos! We LOVE to go this weekend because it is the street fair... I hope the weather holds! I need TULIP PHOTOS!! (never mind I have years of them yet to scrap!! hee hee!!)

Justin has a football game first! he is LOVING playing... I am so glad, it is flag football... and it is so fun to watch him play!!!

Amanda is on the COUNT down to her birthday...in 2 days she will be 8, that is just not right! She is my BABY! Babies arent 8, BIG girls are! :(

I am so HAPPY to have finished up Amandas birthday invites!! They are in the mail now! YEAH! only 2 days later then I wanted! LOL!! They are pretty simple, but she LOVES them, and that is what counts!! Those stars are all silver not all colors like the photo, they have an iridescent look to them so they photo. funny!! As always I made the labels too! Amanda was so excited to see them yesterday!!! NOW on to my Thank Yous, then her Thank Yous then I am FREE to scrap!!! (or rather free to CLEAN! HA HA!!!) I am feeling so scrappy and really want to join some challenges at my scrappy sites! SOON very soon!!!!

Viva Las Vegas!! We are HOME!

What a GREAT GREAT time we all had on our trip to Vegas!! It was the BEST 30th birthday ever! (hey it is my story and I am sticking to that age!) hee hee!!!

First off a BIG THANKS to Steve for a GREAT trip!! Thanks to the kiddos for NOT fighting and being soooo VERY GOOD!!! Thanks to Mom and Nancy for giving up work and joining us!! and Thanks to Tom, Peg, and Christa for joining us for dinner on saturday!

So lets see where do I even start... how about where the gal at dinner on saturday night wanted to know if I had a special boyfriend to sit next to me in the center for the photo at dinner... um no ... but I have a special hubby and kids~ she was like OH I thought you were a teenager! YEAH she is my new favorite friend! HA HA! that was a big laugh the whole trip!! Or shall I start with the fact the van driver put 12 of us in a 10 seater van and was worried the whole trip he would get pulled over and fired! LOL! WHY he did this we dont know he kept cramming us in! or how about I start with the BEAUTIFUL sunshine, and shorts we got to wear all 5 days! :)

I cant pick! So how about I start here and give the highlites! I took 350 photos! but will share only a few here in the slide show!!! :) Be ready for some layouts to come! I also have a couple photos to scan and share with you!! But havent scanned yet this AM!
So we headed out last friday ~ our plane landed EARLY~ yeah!!! Nancys was late, so we all got there the same time! PERFECT!! Headed to the hotel, I didnt know where we were staying, to FUN at the Excaliber! I have shared some photos in the slide show in the daylite and nite lite! :) We get to our room to find one bed... Steve goes to FIX things.... by knocking on the ajoining door in our room! he got TWO rooms so the kids for the 1st time had their own room~ to say they were EXCITED is an understatement! LOL!!! so that was fun!! Then off to the strip we went for fun! :) We got to swim almost everyday! Got some FUN goodies, ATE lots! LOTS of pictures...some slot play! NO big winnings! But FUN! some FUN adult time out!! :) See those Fat Tuesday cups in the photo... yeah we filled them a couple times! hee hee! YUM!!! and FUN! :) Steve and I went to see Louie Anderson, he was soooo FUNNY!!!! We did a meet and greet before the show, that was cool~ I have a photo...one of the needs to scan! :)
We went to some fun restaurants... Margarittaville , Hard Rock, Toby Keiths Bar and grill to name a few ! Saturday night was our FANCY birthday dinner at Circo in the Bellagio.. YUM!!! We saw the water show that night.... a few times from our table and outside... I shared a photo of the watershow from up in the Eiffel Tower...
We got to go swimming a few days.. they have such odd pool hours..10-5pm ~ so we had to get that in.. the pool was soooo COOL! Oh we got to go see the Secret Garden at the Mirage... they had a BABY dolphin it was so cute! It was so neat to see them doing things... then we saw the white tigers, lions, and reg. colored lions and tigers!... we went to the shark reef too~ that was neat ~ , saw the pirate show at Treasure Island... took the kiddos to circus circus for some fun! Have I mentioned SHOPPING! oh yeah.. lots of fun... went to the M & M store 4 times! Margarittaville twice!, ABC stores.... um 10 times, Walgreens 25 times! LOL!! you get that picture! it was just a GREAT fun trip! We got home last night about 9pm, our plane was 30 minutes late, and to start with we didnt even have seats the plane was so FULL , BUT we got on, thanks to 4 people giving up seats and the gate agent getting us 4 seats, not in the same row but we had 2 and 2! YEAH! .... I am sure I will remember more, and will blog about that too~ so now comes the REAL FUN! LAUNDRY!! and unpacking!! :)

Happy Easter (almost!)

Well I was FINALLY able to get the kiddos bunny ear photo for our Easter Cards... Amandas eyes were soooo not pretty while she was sick last week, they were purple underneath! SO I didnt want photos like that! Poor girl!! BUT she is fine now, just a super bad cold, and being so fair skinned my mom said that was how mine were too~ I dont remember them being so dark but then I was little! :) So Justin says to me this year... I have got ear photos for oh 10 years now! :) and he says "Mom dont you think I am to old for these now?!" SIGH!!!! I guess he is.... but I am not ready to give it up! How can I take one of Amanda in ears without Justin?? SO I think next year $$ will have to TALK to him, well probably both if Amanda finds out Justin gets some cash in exchange for a photo! HA HA!!!! :)

I have been SWAMPED this week, no time to scrap, and I have challenges I want to do at sites I like to visit... maybe tomorrow, but I doubt it! Our school auction is saturday night and I need to find something to wear! and get all my stuff for Easter meals! So NEXT WEEK is mine ~ I hope to get in a day of scrap! (and of course a day of cleaning... that is there in case Steve sees this blog! HA HA!!)

Baby Layout and Derby Cars!

FINALLY a blog update! SORRY we have been busy here at the Johnson house, and SICK! Sigh!!! Amanda and Justin have colds! Amanda has been home for 2 days! Her class just keeps passing around bugs galore I tell ya ~ and she is getting them ALL!!! Hopefully she will be better tomorrow, we are busy sunday!!! :)

So finally a share! The layout is my Amanda when she was 6 weeks old! SIGH! (can you BELIEVE she will be 8 in April! BOO HOO! growing to fast for this mommy!!) This was for a sketch challenge my friend Bethany
(if you have time peek at her blog she is sooo TALENTED! LOVE the layout she did the BIG journaling on to make it be the background paper! AMAZING!!!) over at Itty Bitty Scrap Shackissued!! So that means my Amanda has TWO layouts in her book! Can she have THREE before her birthday! :) stay tuned! LOL!!!

Then there are the DERBY cars! Wow we thought it was tomorrow I was bummed I was gonna have to dash in and out to see it, since I am at a stamp camp for the morning, but NO we had the date WRONG! YEAH! it is next week!!! It will make for a busy day next week but that is ok! The cars are done and look GREAT!!! Amanda is gonna race this year in the sibling race! her lipstick car is so CUTE! and of course Justins golf club looks so real!! I hope they both WIN!! it is the last year ~ as Justin is done with cub scouts this year! (again growing to fast for ME!!!!!)

I have also been TAGGED 3 times!!! I wanted to get tagged , and well I guess be careful what you wish for comes into play here! I am WAY behind and will try to get to that this weekend for on monday! No school so we will be hanging out here! I hope to scrap, and catch up!!!

Long Time No Blog!

Well I am WAY behind in blogging! Just a bit crazy around here, lots on my plate and on my mind! and NO creative juices to even scrap something~ or create something! SIGH! Well nothing I like anyway! I need to get past this, I have LOTS to use , because there is LOTS more I want! (shhhh dont tell Steve that part! LOL!!)

So this was my week to host the challenge at scrappersXchange it is a fairly simple one, pop on over if you have time and take a peek!! You could win the drawing for a prize!!! :) The layout I shared here is my take on the challenge!! You can see the sketch and details over at scrappersXchange!!! :)

Oh today is my Aunt Nancys birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANTZY NANCY!!!! :) She is gonna go to VEGAS with us! I so cant wait!! Have I mentioned that trip yet! Steve, the kiddos, mom, and aunt Nancy and of course ME! are all going to celebrate my BIRTHDAY!!!! (and going on the record no matter WHAT anyone says it is my 30th! You got that! LOL!!!! I so dont want to be 40! so I am gonna turn back the clock to 30 for a few years! I can do that right! :) ) anyway! We leave April 4-9th! I cant WAIT!!!!!!

That really is about all I got!!!! Thanks I am off to do some cleaning while I WAIT for the washing machine repair person... DARN machine breaks at least once a year, we are so getting new ones next year and NOT this brand.. they are only 5 years old and the machine has been worked on at least 8 times! CRAZY I tell ya! BUT it is all under our service contract so it is free! PHEW!

Red Velvet LOVE! :)

YUMMY! We made red velvet cake for the 2nd year in a row! (it is now a tradition offically! LOL!) I couldnt find my 4 small heart pans?? I only found 1! HMMM I wonder if my helpers played with them, and left them somewhere, when you find spoons and Tupperware bowls in the garage it is a high possibility here at our house! :) ANYWAY! this year my mom gave me the CUTEST little mini heart cake pans (cupcake size!) so I used those, and my mini muffin pan, plus the one heart pan I found! It worked perfect! We have LOTS left over and I ate less! All of that is a GOOD thing! :)
After dinner and red velvet, we watched a movie! It was a FUN night!! I got LOTS and I mean LOTS of photos! Just sharing a few in the above slide show! I cant wait to get them all printed up and scrapped!!! :) I have some FABO. Valentine papers I bought.. now just to DECIDE which ones to use! That is the good thing about being YEARS behind.. I have plenty of photos to use them for! :)

The kiddos are on mid-winter break! YEAH ~ there is gonna be no hustle and bustle to get out the door on time for the next 4 days! I love that!!! I even got to sleep in til 8am today! Which is GOOD for me! :)

So do you have webkinz in your house?? I have a confession to make... I am ADDICTED to the cash cow games! I play everyday....:) Justin wants a webkinz... so then I will have to play for both kids... hee hee! :) Today Amanda came down and wanted the computer, UM NO! this is moms time and I need to play MY game before she goes on! that is soooo BAD!!!! :) but it is just to fun to stop! LOL!!! I hope they have that game in VEGAS when we go in April!! :) I will kick ASH at it!!! HA HA!!!!

Well that is all I got! HAPPY FRIDAY!!! It is supposed to be fairly decent weather this weekend here in WA. state... in the 50s WARM for this time of year! :), I hope it is I feel like a PICNIC..... :)

Happy Valentines Day!!!!! :)

Hope your all having a GREAT day!!! Ours has been busy busy!! School today had grandparents day this morning, so I helped there, then I snuck the kiddos out of school at 11am to have lunch with Tutu (my mom!) , now I am off to the parties at school!!! :) Then coming home to clean, and the kiddos and I are making a FANCY dinner and dessert for us all! Steve hopefully will sneak out a bit early... I want that RED VELVET CAKE YUM!!!!

Just a quick couple photos to share! My favorite VALENTINES! and one of them with the teacher gifts!!! The little cute package idea came from Angie at 2SCDs for their Dec. crop... I loved them! I had hoped to let the kiddos make them but we were a bit behind last night with homework and finishing valentines, and Amanda wasnt feeling so well so I put them together! the kiddos made the cards! Luckily my girl was all well today, she didnt want to miss the FUN today!! YEAH!!!

About the goodies I shared! That LO, and Card are my first hybrid! YEAH! I am pleased! The LO, is done with one of my fav. photos of the kiddos at the moment! (I change alot! LOL!) the card is just one version I made up for Valentines Day! The others are just a bit different, I will share when I get them scanned! I have a VISION for mine! Yep I make myself cards too! :) The cute box is just a paper mache box I covered....

Today I am jam packed, need to get stuff finished up for Valentines Day, and go to the school to do Raven Racers! plus CLEAN the house, and get all the laundry put
away, and I STILL need to get a card or 2 made! :) I will do it! I WILL!!!!

Ok so I know you were all just in such SUSPENSE all weekend werent ya! LOL!! so my news is this, and REMEMBER it is not probably that big of deal to anyone but ME! LOL! Ok on with it!!! So this new little place I like to visit Itty Bitty Scrap Shack has a new thing~ they are spotlighting a member a month and WHO did they pick as the FIRST ONE! Yep ME!!!! I was so EXCITED!!! I have never been picked for anything like that, so it made my whole week when I got the email asking if I would do it! HELLO! YES!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! and Tiffany (the owner of IBSS) made a blinkie just for me! Ok it will be for all the spotlite members, but for the moment it is just me! :) So that is the 1st thing..

The second has to do with that YUMMY photo I shared! My friend Viv at ScrappersXchange asked me to do some stuff with that part of the kit (it is really about 3 times that big, I know because I subscribe to it! LOL!) but this part of the kit she asked me to work with, I am so honored, she has a FAB. Design team there and I am excited to be a part of some of the kit for this month! PLUS I will be doing some challenges for her at the gallery pop on in, my friend Em has some fun challenges this month!! Pop on in and PLAY! You can win a GREAT RAK!!! :)

I have been having some FUN with all my digital scrappen stuff I have!Between, my books, a video clip I found and a good friend Sharon I was able to get some of the basics down, enough to use some of the goodies I have!! and now a MONSTER has been RELEASED! :) all from the enter key! (that was where I was stuck! NO MORE!) this is a photo I took yesterday~ the kiddos were so GOOD! I wanted to get some Valentine card photos, and hello they just were FABULOUS and did everything and I asked and MORE!! They had their own ideas, and I ended up getting 25 photos, all I wanted was 8, but I am NOT gonna turn them down when they want to ham it up and have FUN for me! :)

I have some fun scrappen things coming up!! I need to get working on some projects! By monday I can share it all! :) Oh so secretive, not super big news, but I was HAPPY to be asked!!! :)

So we have a busy busy weekend planned! but it will be fun! I think the last of our free weekends was last weekend! (SHHH Dont tell Steve or the kids! we are busy! LOL!)

2 Posts in TWO days!!

Well this must be a record for me! 2 posts in 2 days! I had to share, my friend Sharon was such a BIG help in me figuring out all this PSE and digi stuff! (THANKS Sharon!) She has a CUTE kit and Challenge at A Peek Into Yesterday you should check it out!! I have lots to learn, and the LO is pretty simple BUT I am so EXCITED to be able to do some fun things now to the photos, and hybrid scrap them!!! I have to much FUN stuff up in my room to go all digi, but I can go hybrid!!! A monster has been CREATED I am afraid! The BEST part of all this fun stuff, no MESS! My floor doesnt get another thing added it just stays here on my computer!! :)

Layouts to share!

I have been on a scrappy roll! and I am LOVING it, at this rate I will be caught up by the time I am 95! LOL!!! :)

The Escape layout was for a sketch challenge I do from My Sketch World
a place I do sketch challenges once a month, or at least try to! :)

The Amazing layout was for an eyelet challenge at Itty Bitty Scrap Shack the real challenge was for a card, OH NO! I didnt read carefully enough I guess!!! :) I loved these photos of Amanda they were from a boating trip last summer! She was a mess, but so DARN CUTE!!! I really like how the swirls and bling look coming from the flower... that will appear on a Layout again! LOL!!!

So all is well on the home front! Amanda is back to school! (thank you for the well wishes!) she is very glad~ she missed her friends! I ENJOYED having her home for the few days!!!

Lots to do this week, but still hoping to sneak in some more scrappy time! I just cant stop the mojo from wanting to pour out on to paper!!! I gotta take advantage of that!!!!

Happy Feb. 1st!!!!!

Happy February!! Almost VALENTINES day!! I cant wait!!! Need to figure out my valentines, and work on a box for Justin! Amandas is done!! Also need to get our red food coloring for the RED velvet cake! YUMMY!!!!!

All is well here in the chicken pox house! :) Amanda feels GREAT! She has been playing our new Wii game, "Cooking with Mama" she just LOVES this! It is pretty fun, UNLESS you gotta cook fish, GROSS you gotta skin them and chop off the head! ICKY! She or I cant really do this to well~ even FAKE, it GROSSES us out!! :)

I got in some scrappy time! YEAH!!! Over at Itty Bitty Scrap Shak they had a CS challenge, do a layout using NO patterned paper! Here is my take on it, Amanda made these CUTE cupcakes over the summer! (I need to add the date so I dont forget!!!)

I hope to scrap some today, and this weekend! We cant really go anywhere with Amanda still sick, and hello like Steve would want to do something on SUPERBOWL SUNDAY! LOL!! fine with me I will have my own Scrapbook Bowl! :)

So my goals this month are TWENTY 2 pages layouts! I would LOVE to get them done and stick to the STASH DIET my friends Amy and Jen. are doing! I didnt make it last time! But there is sooo much stuff coming out I must OWN! (shhh dont tell Steve!) so I really want to get lots done! I have some projects to make for Valentines Day too~ so I figure if I do those, some cards, and 20 2 pagers that will be VERY GOOD! :)

A little share!

I have been so busy SCRAPPY wise this month~ I HOPE it lasts the next 11 months! LOL!!!

I have a NEW obsession! They are stickles! Oh my! to fun!!! I found this GREAT ebay store Stampers Dream Stamps Michelle has GREAT prices and is really nice! I will be BACK!! She also has a blog with some fun stampen ideas!!! So these stickles are the cutest, little bottles of glittery fun! I have 20 bottles now, and only 2 weeks ago I had NONE!!! I used them on almost all my projects I shared, they add just the right amount of sparkle!! :)

On the home front our Amanda has chicken pox! JOY! The Dr. said that of the kids that get the vaccine (she did!) about 10% of them get the chicken pox, well there are 3 kids in her class, I think that covers the 10% for this year! :)
So we are going to have to be STUCK in the house for the next few days.... at least that means I can SCRAP! :)

BRRRR another snowy day!

SNOW DAY HERE TODAY!! Oh the kids were so HAPPY to miss school, and have dad WORK from home!! (really he did work! he did take a snow break!- to sled and snowball fight! :) )

I of course had to have photos, I am DONE now, ready for SPRING! So if anyone is listening NO MORE SNOW!! (I dont think they are since it is snowing now and gonna snow all night they say!! LOL!!) As you can see from my models! they had a BLAST! See that one where Amanda is yee-hawing on Steves back, who is on top of Justin! :) I had to take it 4 times! Look how good they were for me! LOL!!! That is LOVE I tell ya, that and a BRIBE of hot choc! :)

Other then snow, all is well here! Steve and I had a DATE on saturday! YEAH went out to dinner, macaronni grill~ YUM!! and then to the casino!!! (THANKS TUTU for watching the kiddos!) Sunday we went to the new applebees that is about 3 miles from us, YUM! and today of course SNOW FUN!!!

Happy Sunday! Hope your all having a GREAT day!!! We have been EARLY spring cleaning here at the Johnson house! YEAH! Got in a BIG goodwill and dump run! :)
I have also got in some SCRAP time!!!! BUT you have to wait to see it all until wed! I hope to get some more done in the next couple days!!! I am going to TRY to catch up for my L.O.A.D (layout a day) challenge at BPS
I am about 9 behind! BUT I am happy with all I have got done and HOPE to catch up on a few of them this week!!!
Had a FUN on line crop this weekend at 2SCD's
! I got a few things done! Always wish I had more time!!!

I have been playing around with TRYING to learn my PSE! I did manage to add the fun frame to the above photo, well the white flourish one anyway! the rest I did at picnik my goal is to LEARN that program!!! :)

Well I am off to the treadmill! I so dont want to! LOL! then off to dinner!
