Little Share.. and Field Day!

Happy SUNNY Wednesday~ LOVING our weather this week.. Sunny and not to hot! (Like last week! EEK not that I am complaining.. ok maybe a little 90 is to warm for me in June! LOL!!) this week in the 70s.. just perfect! :)

Ok on with some fun.. NOW this isnt one of my best cards.. and it wasnt meant to be! My Amanda saw her friend get a lunch bag note.. and asked why I didnt do them.. I dont know.. my mom sent them to me.. (I WISH I had saved them.. sigh.. ) ANYWAY.. she loved the CUTE little fairies I got last week... From All that scraps so I printed her out one.. I bought the stamps in DIGI form.. LOVE that.. they take up no space in my room and I can resize them anyway I want! :) anyway.. printed her.. used my COPICS! (LOVING them!!) and colored her in! I WISH you could see all the sparkle! I used my copic Spica pens (never knew they were copics til a couple weeks ago! LOL!) ANYWAY.. she just glitters.. I mounted her on Rasp. Fizz CS, inked with lemon tart ink ~ use a RF ribbon, and LT button (all from PTI) put her on a small white note card I cut and snuck her in Amandas lunch.. I hope she likes it!! :)





















I am still learning how to use my Copics (so NO!! laughing at my color job! lol..oh I said no laughing.. :) ).. I found a GREAT Blog HERE lots of GREAT info... I need to sit for about a week and look at all that is shared... I want to get REALLY good with them!! :)

Now a fast share of the kiddos! THANKS if you have made it this far! Yesterday was field day at the school.. it is a fun day the 6th graders run for the other classes.. Justins group did the rope climb... He was in charge of timing and writing down the times of the kids!





















Amanda wanted to do his station first.. so she did...





















She wanted to ring that bell at the top... and SHE DID! :) I could NOT have made it!





















She did get a couple blisters.. eek! I guess they found gloves to help with that... it was not pretty! She is still proud!


FUNNY STORY... I was showing them photos today.. and Justin said when he saw the one of her ringing the bell... Amanda welcome to the blog.. you made the post today! HA HA!! oh that made me LOL!!!

Dinner, Dessert, and a Card! :)

Happy Saturday!!! Hope your all having a GREAT day.. ours has been nice.. went to the schools family fun run today! Justin and I did the 3 miles.. Amanda and Steve did the 1 mile! Then home...errands, creative time! and a YUMMY (if I do say so myself! dinner! and dessert!!) I felt like pasta.. really I felt like a trip to Italy.. BUT that wasnt gonna happen so I settled for yummy pasta and a glass of wine! :)

Here is what I whipped up - the boys are happy there is leftovers! You know it must be pretty good if they are happy for left overs! :) it is my own recipe, pasta, fire roasted tomatos, ital. sausage, wine, roasted pepper, onion, mushrooms, artichokes, fresh basil from our garden, kalmata olives, and Parm. Cheese.. and some garlic of course! a little butter too.. shhh dont tell my diet! :)
















Then for dessert I whipped up some of these yummy mini cherry cobblers.. I added some nuts, vanilla, and cinnamon to the cherries.. and made the biscuits with bisquick, van. soy milk (shhh dont tell!) and some sugar.. Yep boys are happy left overs of these too! :)





















and finally a card share! Leah issued a challenge for our PTI blog group to make a flat one layer card... harder then I thought!! But I was happy to get it done!

For my card I was inspired by Cheryl she used Friends til the End.. and then I remembered a card I made a few years ago, and used the same LO basically.. I used my glimmer chalks to color it, and edge it.. also used my new Spica glitter pens all over too!! I was pretty happy with it! Amanda loved it.. hmmmmm maybe she will get it! :)




















Thanks for a FUN challenge Leah! Now to find out what our group #4 is!! My turn is coming next for #5 or #6.. I gotta get thinking!!

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!

Happy Friday!! I am so EXCITED for the weekend!! Ours is full of FUN stuff!!! FINALLY cooled down.. we hit 91 yesterday.. for the first week of June that is CRAZY I tell ya!!! I wasnt ready for it! Today it is a nice 70 something.. and a bit breezy.. if only I could see a beach out my window it would be PERFECT!!! :)

So I had HOPED to share some cards today.. but NOOOO to hot to create! I want to get my PTI blog group challenge done.. it was due yesterday! EEK! I will.. I WILL!!! :)
and I need to work on Thank You gifts and cards for the teachers... AND make up 90 cute little treat bags for Justins BIG party on the 17th! Busy me! and it isnt supposed to be 90 again so I should be fine! :)

SOOOO PTI started PEEKS of their JUNE release... OH my I am in TROUBLE... BIG TROUBLE.. and there has only been ONE peek! I gotta get stuff on ebay... :) LOL!!

New Trees, A Rock, and A Card! :)

Happy SUNNY Monday.. we have had such BEAUTIFUL weather for a week now.. they SAY it is gonna last a few more days! I hope THEY are right! :)

We had a GREAT weekend...it went to darn fast I tell ya!!!

Wanted to share a couple photos of our new trees.. and Dwayne "the rock" Johnson! (LOL!!!)

Steve has been researching trees for awhile now.. and knew what he wanted for 2 of them.... here they are...




















For the other one he said what do you think? Um this one.. it is so PURTY.. so he got it.. no info on it or anything .. just that I liked it.. ahhhh what a guy!! (He later read it can get up to 75 feet... EEK! hee hee! :) and in the photo you can see Dwayne "THE ROCK" Johnson! HA HA!! Steve found it buried when he was digging the tree holes.. he washed it.. Yeah he is like that! :) and said he was keeping it.. and naming it.... ok fine.. so he says I like The Rock ... So I said hey we can call it Dwayne for short as in the actor/former wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.. Steve liked it so well ~ that is its full name!! YES we are a bit SILLY here! HA HA!!!





















So cant WAIT for them to fill out a bit more... they look so nice in our yard!!!

I LOVE everything Nicole and the team shared.. all links are on her page.. and she shares some GREAT flower links too.. I had to share it.. I also had to order the book she linked.. I so want to learn to crochet flowers.. my mom said she would help me! I figure if all else fails.. I can use the book for paper inspiration too! :)

One.....

of my FAVORITE times of the year has ARRIVED!!! :)
FARMERS MARKET TIME! LOVE it!! I wish we had them year round.. BUT we dont! the first one opened 2 weeks ago, and last thursday the kiddos and I were able to get down to it! (our favorite.. ok one of my favorites... opens next sunday!! :) ) ANYWAY.... I love going to them.. the weather was BEAUTIFUL...and I got flowers.. what more could a girl ask for!! :)
I decided this year I am going to take photos over the season.. and scrap 'em... Thought I would share a few with you if that is ok! I have a card to share too~ BUT I forgot to get if off the card.. so next time.. Since I have to be FAST... we are getting THREE new tress today in our back yard.. (more photos to come! :) )

a new CLEAR share! :)

Happy Wednesday!!! Hope your week is going well!! Mine has been busy.. trying to catch up after the weekend.. and get some challenges done!! I have a little share today.. it isnt a challenge.. I just had so much fun with my clear card from the blog hop I wanted to make another! This is from what is left from the square card I cut the other day!!

I ADORE the Raspberry Fizz color by PTI so I thought it would be fun on a clear card!! Here is what I came up with!! (sorry it is hard to get a photo of them.. the gray is our truck! :) )





















Wanted to show a close up! I LOVE coloring my pearls to match.. this is using my copic marker RV17... I think I need the refill I plan on using it OFTEN for this! HA HA!!! Stamped the clear CS with polka dot basics, Added some stickles to the button center... and of course used my apron lace border! Stitched outside, and inside.. stamped sentiment from hero arts!

2nd Post of the day!

Ok here is my second post for today! But the way your seeing it is first.. I cant get that right! LOL!! :) Below is my card for the new CPS sketch.. I have to link them alone.. so I just did its very own post!! and this one is gonna have a card and some ROCKET photos!! I know your EXCITED! ha ha!!! It is a BIG day for the 6th graders... Rockets... :) more on that in a moment!!

Here is a quick birthday card I made.. I saw THIS fun Youtube Video.. and wanted to try it (edited to add... it is 2 videos I only linked 1.I think you get the idea! LOL!).. I couldnt find my crimper for the cupcake wrapper so I just used my scor-pal (I LOVE mine!) to make my wrapper lines! :) Used my cricut again for the card.. some PTI ribbon, ink and stamps!





















Now on to ROCKETS! Every year the 6th graders make rockets and light them off.. I have watched most years.. thinking how fun it would be when my kids were doing it.. YEAH came way FASTER then I thought!! Today was Justins day (and 89 other kids! LOL!).. and the weather was PERFECT.. SUNNY not to windy!! It was fun to watch the kids having such fun! I have a couple to share with you!!! :)

































Well that is all I have for today!! 2 posts is probably enough chatter!! :) Steve worked from home.. wonder if I can talk him into Thai lunch!!

CPS 116 card share!!

Happy Thursday!! I am gonna have TWO posts today!! The first is my take on CPS cards sketch 116.. I havent been able to play in a couple weeks and was happy to this week!! I put my own spin on it .. that is the FUN part of sketches.. a good starting point to where ever you want to let it go!! :)

Here is my take on it! I used some of the Basicgrey Wisteria.. Oh I LOVE that line! The 3 PP were from teh 6 X 6 pads.. LOVE those!! Of course had to use my PTI! (stamps and ink!)

Color Challenge Card Share! :)

Happy Tuesday!! :) I was FINALLY able to get one of Dawn McVeys color challenges done!! YEAH!! Now it is a bit different of a card for me! But I am happy with it! :) I stamped my own background been LOVING seeing the PTI DT do that this past couple weeks! So I decided to give it a go with this card... Ok enough chatter! Here are the colors-













Here is my card-




















All colored CS, Ink, Ribbon and Stamps are from PTI for the pearls I got them at Micheals they were white.. I colored them with my copic R22 I thought it was a darn near perfect match! LOVE that! :) Added some crystal effects to the flower on the tag... and DONE! :)

Here is my backgroud paper after I stamped it.. when I got it all on the card I thought it needed something MORE (I always think this! LOL!) and so I added some flowers so the brown dot was a center.. then added aqua mist dots... called it good then! :)

















I have a couple more to share.. but gotta wait for the stickles to dry! Probably tomorrow I will share.. think I am gonna go for a quick walk since the rain stopped! and tonite is stamp club! YEAH!!

Cards Cards Cards! :)

Happy SUNNY Sunday.. it is BEAUTIFUL here today.. was yesterday too! So ready for SUMMER! (ok I am but my body isnt! LOL!!! must get in shorts....that is another post! :) )
I have 3 cards to share with you today! I used my cricut for them all! The first 2 are from my cartride Wild Card I LOVE that one it has fun cards, and matching envies.. the first is just a cute scallop card for Amandas thank yous! She colored Lily I added LOTS of stickle love!!! :) Ribbon to match the CS.. both Hibiscus Burst from PTI Inside we stamped the saying Thanks Fairy Much! (she wanted to make these for her thank yous from the moment I got the stamps.. A girl who knows what she wants! :)





















Next card is for my brother his big day was yesterday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOBBY!! I had to add stickle love!! (even boys need some sparkle! LOL!) I didnt make the matching envies.. but all the cards have a fun matching envie!! Again used PTI for all the paper (except white words) LOVE their paper.. FABULOUS colors and the BEST thickest CS I have ever found!!!





















Then for this card I made it using a couple different cartridges.. to get the circle card, and circle head!! (AGAIN PTI paper!) Lots of stickle love... fun eyes I got a couple years ago from the dollar store.. topped with a ribbon (PTI) She loved it! YEAH!! Her birthday was also yeseterday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!!

I am on the 6 week mark for our 1/2 marathon.. I got a new pedometer.. my goal is to walk 8-10 miles every day.. not in one shot... but over the day.. I am gonna go for 7 mile straight this week... wish me luck... and if you see me eating CRAP.. knock it out of my hand! LOL! I want to be back in my shorts this summer... :)
That is all I got.. gonna print photos this week! So EXCITED.. I have lots to print since I havent been in 6 weeks.. before our vacation... I need to scrap.. and I still have card ideas in my brain.. and I HOPE my PTI order arrives this week..oh my fun stuff!!!

Wow can we see a trend with the titles.. first monday, now tuesday.. can I go for 3 in a row tomorrow?!! LOL!!!

First off THANKS for your sweet comments on the below post, and the wrapping paper my dear family made for me for moms day.. That was so sweet of you all! AHHH I love love! LOL!! :)

So today I have some MORE stuff to share.. then I MUST finish up my project for Justins party... 2 hours of work left.. BUT after all the hours I have spent cutting and gluing.. that is nothing! All I have to say is GOD BLESS MY CRICUT!! I wouldnt have done this otherwise!! :) I will share when I can what I am making.. well I can tell you! I had to make 90 life preservers... for part of their decorations.. Justin wants to be surprised.. so I have to do it when he isnt here! BUT today is the final day of work! YEAH!! then I can PLAY and do other challenges!! :)

Now on to some shares!! You all know I have a very VERY BAD ADDICTION to anything ANYTHING Papertrey Ink so last week on the boards there was a discussion about DMC floss.. yeah.. I had to get some! AND I LOVE to sew on my cards/layouts.. so I went out and got some thread.. and I found some FUN Shabby Chic fabric I had to get too.. and those Dies are from some card ideas Nicole shared! I am telling you at this rate I am gonna need a PTI room for just their stuff! HA HA!!

Now from the above photo I used some of the thread I got ~ it matches the Raspberry Fizz paper!! YUMMY!! This is our second challenge for our Blog Group! Michele was our hostess.. her challenge was to use a stamp set we havent used.. well the funny thing is I bought this anniversary set from MICHELE herself! hee hee! She had an extra and I didnt find PTI in time to earn it! I was so excited to get it.. then there it sat! Well with all those STARS shared yesterday.. I was seeing them... and couldnt wait for that set.. so I opened up and inked the star I do have! YEAH!
Here is my card.. done in Raspberry Fizz, and Hibiscus Burst!! and some white.. Michele do I get to count it as a monochromatic combo! :)

Happy wet soggy monday! (if your me anyway! LOL!! Where is that sunshine!) I hope you all had a GREAT weekend, and wonderful Mothers Day!! I sure did!!!

I wanted to share something my SWEET family did for me.. I LOVED it more then the gift.. I wish I could frame it.. I think I will gently cut it apart and put it in my scrap book.. I want to save it FOREVER! :)

I have a few photos of it... Steve came up with the idea to make the wrapping paper using things about me.. it touched my heart.. looky all the fun things they know I LOVE!!
NOW first off just so you know that thing that looks sorta like a gun.. is my treadmill! :) hee hee!!!




























































NOW that PURPLE drawing.. it is a MICROPHONE people! LOL!! ... a Wii Microphone.. this is my rockstar drawings side! HA HA!!!











One more photo.. THANKS for making it this far if you did!! These are the cards the kiddos made me.. YES there are 4, and YES I do only have 2 kids.. Amanda made me 3! HA HA!! The one with us on the cover.. she made at school.. her teacher said write something specific you love about your mom.. not just that she is great.. Um Amanda wrote she loved I took her to the American Girl Doll Store and spent $200 on her.. Oh I about died laughing... so much for keeping that our secret.. I gotta train her better.... somethings you just dont let boys know! :) And that cute heart card.. the heart is 3D and pops right up on the front.. I am a PROUD mom! :)

















Oh and before I forget... THIS is what I am gonna use my moms day gift cert on.. well part of it! I ADORE this stamp set.. so cant wait for the 15th!! (9pm our time on the 14th! WAHOOOO!)
