The BEST $10 I ever spent!!!!

I just love the farmers markets we have around here! Love all the fresh fruits and veggies... but my favorite things to get are the FLOWERS! Hello this BIG BEAUTIFUL bouquet was $10! It seriously is huge... takes up well over 1/3 of our table! :)

So it is the last weekend of summer! We are going to hang around here, do some shopping tomorrow, for tile (the kitchen has been done for a year!) and FURNITURE for the living room! I figure if I type this out I will have to get it! Steve gave me a blank check when we moved in 5 years ago to find what I want... the hunt still continues! I have a VISION! BUT I am tired of waiting for that VISION ..... so I am gonna SERIOUSLY hunt tomorrow, and maybe adjust that vision! Wish us luck! You probably should wish Steve the luck... he has to deal with a VISION crazy wife! :)

OH we found out the kiddos teachers! Amanda has Ms. Gradl~ who I really wanted for her! and Justin has a new teacher Mrs. Curfman... she seems very nice!
On a sad note, neither one got there very best friend in their class, BUT they do have other friends they know in the class so that always makes it easy for a new adventure, and they will I am sure make even MORE friends as they get to know other kids!! and their friends are only a class room away, they always have RECESS!!!

Our NEW toy!

FUN FUN FUN!

We got a new truck on sat. it is REALLY nice! It is a 2006, and is in FABULOUS condition! The kids are so excited it has bucket seats for them! I am excited it has a 6 CD player, AND Sunroof! Amanda likes that too! :)

I drove it for the first time yesterday! I was bit NERVOUS, but it was fine, so smooth!!! and I LOVE the stereo! and again Sunroof! Had them both open and going! :)

Reno/Tahoe FUN!!!!

We are HOME! What a GREAT vaction we had!!
Reno was so HOT! and so fun for me and the kids!


Steve had to work! So he got us a room at the Grand Sierra Resort! what a PLACE! It had so much to do! Golf, go carts, bowling alley! (50 lanes) a movie theather a FABO pool outside!!!

and YES even a TV in our bathroom! (both hotels did!~! WHY I am not sure! :) ) Amanda informed us all she needs in her hotels now is a flat screen (also in our room- I think Steve loved that the most!) and a tv in the bathroom and she is set! WHAT is her daddy setting her poor husband up for in a LONG TIME of course! he is gonna spoil them good!!! :)












After Reno we were off to Tahoe for a few days! it was BEAUTIFUL there! I told Steve I could move there if it wasnt for the threat of FIRE every summer and the DEEP snow of winter! :)


We did so much fun stuff!!! We rode the gondola up to the top of the mountian, and back down, went to the beach~ rented a jet ski, and we also rented paddle boats both days at the beach!! We didnt sit at this cute little bar I took a photo of ~ BUT I did get a rum runner at the place right behind it (where the family photo is taken!)

We ate WAY to much! Had to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, and Cabo Wabo cantina~ NO Sammy Hagar darn it!!!

We did win some $$ YEAH! BUT of course gave most of it back! LOL!!

Now I have to work on the PILE of laundry! and come back to reality! DARN IT!!!!

Wrapped and Ready!

So I was going to make a pen- just wrapping some PP around it, tie some ribbon on it... but then I found this set of pens at Walgreens and the pink matched PERFECTLY! WHY mess with perfection! LOL! :)

So I just wrapped it all up with a little tag and it is ready to give! I think I need to make some more of these! and one for me! :)

Cards!

Not 100% sure if this is going to be the card set for my notecard holder... I wanted them all to match and SHOCKINGLY I dont have enough of the BG to do that! But it will be similar just a quick note card for the set!!!

Felt Notecard Holders!

Ok here is what my sweet Amanda and I have made today!
Felt notecard holders!! I am making mine for a friend, hers if for her brother! (AHHH!!) I am going to make notecards for mine, and I am going to buzz REAL QUICK to the dollar store and get pens to make a matching one ~ these I will share later!

But for now here is how we made these little cuties! (easy as pie! and kid friendly too!!)



#1- Measure your felt to the size you want the holder to be!
















#2-Fold pocket to size you need!

#3 Stictch sides with machine or by hand!
(Amanda's first time sewing! With my help!)



#4 Embellish anyway you like!!
We used primas, buttons, Love Elsie ribbon, and bling! and I stamped the name and outlined it!

#5 Add notecards! (which I will do soon!)

INSPIRATION!

So here is what we used today for our creations! Some felt, some flowers, and some buttons! What more do you need for inspiration? How about one very willing 7 year old helper! Who had her OWN idea of a creation~ which is drying as I type ~ but I will share it!! :)

Port Ludlow!

Port Ludlow ~ GETAWAY weekend!

We went to Port Ludlow on the boat last weekend and had a GREAT time!! We love going over there it is so peaceful! The kids played on the beach ALOT! and we hung out on the boat!

There was a wedding that night we arrived, so we sat on the back of the boat and listened to their reception music.. it was GOOD!! Made me want to dance! Which Amanda and I did! :)

Sunday I snuck over to where they still had the chairs set up and got that cute photo of the kids in the chairs over looking the Marina!!!

Steve (and Justin helped too! Even Amanda got in on the action!!) did such a NICE job on the deck! He is almost done just needs to put a clear stain on it! WE LOVE IT!!! I am sorry I kept telling him no deck the last couple years! it is so nice!! and now the furniture fits much better on it!!

So you cant really see from the photos above, BUT he redid my table top on my NEW table... why you ask... I SHATTERED the glass out of the other one! How I dont know~ the umbrella slipped and it it the table and shattered it into a million pieces, most of them are under that new deck! So he topped it earlier in the week with Justins help ~ and for now it will be just fine.. I may get a new table next year! LOL! BUT it all looks good now!!!!!

So when ya gonna come have dinner with us on it?!!!

My Cowgirl!

I got some scrappen in today!!! (shhh dont tell I didnt do any laundry or clean! LOL!)

Our Amanda was being so CUTE earlier in the month dressing up in her Halloween costume from last year so I had to get some photos! (of course!)

I FEEL like it is missing something~ but not sure what! I am calling it DONE for now, and in the books it goes!!!

I still feel scrappy~ I may try to finish one that is laying up there undone! Wish me luck!

Ratatouille Cupcakes!

Ratatouille-Cupcakes!! YUM!!

Today Amanda and I made up these cutie pie cupcakes to take to our friends house tonite...
She has decided to name them ALL ~ Ratatouille! :)

Here she is with one of them, see the evidence of sneaking frosting?!! Then there is the whole group of Ratatouilles! and finally Justin doing HIS job in the fun... he was on ear and whisker watch!! Being sure none fell off!!!

Photo Fun!

Just having some fun in my photo editing programs.... I really want to figure out my PSE program... I have gotten a couple books, I have some fun beach photos I want to alter and scrap! For this one I used PSE, and my print shop photo pro (that was for the frame! since I cant figure it out in PSE! )

The kids are such good sports letting me get all my beach photos! These with their backs to me are some of my favorites to me they seem to stop time for just a moment!

July Fun!

What a BUSY couple weeks!!! We have been on the run! Gone to see the family for Papa and Dede's 60th anniversary, then back down for the 4th of July FUN! then off to our annual beach trip!! I took so many photos and cant WAIT to scrap them!!
