BLOG HOP FUN!!

I am soooo EXCITED it is HERE!!!! The Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!!! It is my first one! No idea what to expect other then alot of FUN and INSPIRATION!! I plan to put dinner in the crock pot and just blog hop away!! I tried to stay off the computer so I wouldnt feel bad being glued to this seat for 2 hours! :) Blog hop starts at 8pm Eastern (5pm for me!)

So the challenge was to make something SPRINGY!! What can be more springy then BASKETS!!! :) I am in LOVE with Lauren Meaders My Timeless Templetes I have 6 of them and cant stop buying them! HA HA!! :)

For this first one I used the patter as it was.. printed it on Sweet Blush CS then I inked the edges with Vintage Cream Ink (on a side note I LOVE this color! oh my!) then put it all together!! I punched the squares with my punch.. added the tiny holes to each scallop to give it a frilly doilyish look! Inked the edges with Sweet Blush Ink... added a scallop border on the bottom (fiskars threading water punch).. Tied Sweet Blush Ribon added some flowers, a stamped sentiment using the NEW Tags for spring set and tada.. a cute little basket!




















Somedays life or in this case a girls PRINTER... gives her LEMONS.. so what is she todo.. make Lemonade!! I couldnt get my printer to print on my CS yesterday.. and I sooo wanted to make another basket! SOOOO I just printed it on reg. printer paper and cut it out, using that as a pattern on my CS..!! Here is ANOTHER version of Laurens basket!!
For this one I used Aqua Mist CS, Ink (inked all edges again!), and ribbon (around candy!) I cut the top down a bit, and didn't add a handle to this one! I added a bit of scallop border (fiskars apron lace punch) punched using the shimmer white CS (this is so pretty! I used it for all my tags too!) added some tiny white flowers, and add liquid pearls all around the top and bottom of the basket!! :) Added the duckie and candy treat.. I know my girl is gonna be taking this from me! :)




















and one more little tiny share.. because sometimes cuteness just HOPS in my basket... I so LOVED this bunny (and the above chicky!) got both at Target in the dollar spot.. HOW do you not get them!!! My dear sweet DH is gonna think I should walk away.. but sometimes a girl NEEDS cuteness! HA HA!! So I stamped up a little tag added it to some candy kisses.. and there ya go cuteness in 5 minutes! and less then $2! :)

Cards Cards.. and well...

Ok only 2 cards to share!! :) But I wanted a catchy title ya know!! ha ha!!!

So I have spent the last 2 days creating.. for the Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink which is TOMORROW! Oh I cant wait!! 5pm pacific, 8pm eastern I am sooo gonna be there.. I cant wait to see what everyone creates!! It will be my first one and I cant stop talking about it.. which you have all probably NOTICED! LOL!! :)

So I do have a point to all this! I figured out you can have ONE thing on your bloggy.. or at least I think it is only 1.. I have a few more! SOOOO in order to not get in trouble on my first one! :) I am gonna share a couple cards I made today and save my other goodie for TOMORROW!!!

So first up! Over at the Cuttlebug Challenges Blog they challenged to use your embossing folders with acetate! HELLOOOO never thought of doing that..so I did that on this card.. and I LOVE how it turned out! I have a few more made.. well embossed not made into cards... I inked the sides and it sorta ran under it but I think it adds character... that is what I tell myself so I dont think I need to redo it! LOL!! the stamps.. and paper are from YEP you guessed it Papertrey Ink! (on a side note my OTHER new order arrives tomorrow.. and GASP I ordered AGAIN from them... I must stop! LOL!! or not! ;) )





















and then I have this card to share.. I LOVE shape cards.... but they are hard for me to scan... insert the lovely Amanda as my hand model.. and how SWEET the pen all OVER her hands matched with the card... totally unplanned I tell ya! At least it works with it! :) Thanks for helping mommy out sweet girl! :)

I used some of my newish! Stamps from Papertrey Ink The red paper, Ink and Ribbon are from them as well!
I seem to have an ADDICTION to my cuttlebug folders.. I cant do a card without embossing on it! :) The round pearls are from Queen and Co. and the cutie pie heart pearl is from Hero Arts... (I LOVE those and had to find more! :) )

I am going to playing along at the blog hope over at PTI on wednesday 5pm my time.. I asked if I could share sneaky peeks of what I am working on.. not sure if I can.. but if I can I will! if not I get to offically post it at 2pm my time on Wed.. I am sure excited for this.. I have never played along with them before.. they do them once a month~ How fun! and oh so INSPIRING.. I would imagine!
Off to more creating! :) I am doing nothing else all week! Ok maybe some laundry and dishes! :)

Happy Saturday.. oh I LOVE the weekends.. I am guessing I am NOT the only one! HA HA!! As I sit here WAITING.. to get my sweet girl from her FIRST sleep over!! (for her friends birthday!) I figured I would update the blog and listen to Justin play Guitar Hero! :) Can he play some BON JOVI NOW!! HA HA!!!
Not to much to share.. but for SURE next week! I got some photos printed this week.. I got some FABULOUS new TOYS from Papertrey Ink and some glimmer mist from Tattered Angels I soooo cant wait to PLAY.. we have to go Amandas Thinking Day for brownies.. then I HOPE to create something!! :)

So the other day.. I sat on my BOOTY.. right here in front of the computer and did nothing but STALK THIS blog... there are sooo many FABULOUS ideas.. and because of those FABULOUS ideas I have done nothing but sit HERE on my butt.. and SHOP.. and THINK I need to make these cute things! HA HA!! so I did just that.. I made this card.. it is sooo simple but that is ok.. simple is OK sometimes.. I am TRYING to make myself believe this! HA HA!! ANYWAY!! I was looking in the Oct. post from last year and saw THIS cool idea...(you gotta scroll past those BEAUTIFUL photos of the cruise... ) they used a score pal for theirs.. I dont have that COOL tool... so I just used my fiskars trimmer and flipped my blade over to the orange top and scored.. I LOVE the look.. I have done it on about 4 card bases now! ;) Sorry they arent done or I would share.. but here is what I did do.. can you see the score lines below and on top of the flower.. (see I told you it was simple!) and of course another addiction on here my cuttlebug embossing folder.. only half way up.. the kids thought I was BRILLIANT doing that!! HA HA!! OK OK OK.. the simple card is here......



















and I just LOVE that word stamp set from HeroArts :)

So that is all I have today.. a big LONG WINDED post for one card! HA HA!! I HOPE to scrap away the week next week.. using my new GOODIES!!! :) and on Wednesday I PLAN to do the Blog Hop over at Papertrey Ink So looking forward to ALL the INSPIRATION I will find.. and I HOPE to share some goodies here using my new toys! :)

Hope you all had a GREAT weekend!! We did!! and YEAH no snow or rain! WAHOOO just sunshine.. cold but sunny!! I will take it.. for now anyway ;) Come March I want WARM with that sun PLEASE!! :)

Ok so I have some FOOD shares with ya!! :) I made a knock off version of Macaroni Grills Pasta Milano all I can say is OH MY GOSH>>>> YUM!! NOW if your watching what your eating dont even CLICK that recipe! LOL! but it was Valentines Day and no diet that day!! :) Here is a link for the roasted garlic cream sauce it called for! I just noticed that had both on it! :) Here is what it looked like...
















Oh my~ I want that again! LOL!! Maybe next Valentines Day or after working out 6 hours!! :)
For dessert we made the usual Red Velvet Cake! Last year my mom gave me the muffin size heart pans.. so that works perfect.. I get 12 mini hearts, and 12 mini cupcakes.. some for the freezer .. some for now! :)

PHEW today was a WHIRLWIND kind of day for me! I am ready for bed and it is only 5:30pm! Just one of those busy busy days!! :) I had to get everything ready for the kiddos for their valentines parties today.. it was also grandparents day at the school.. so I was helping there for a bit.. then we snuck the kiddos out of school for lunch, Tutu joined us! then headed back to Bellingham! Me I headed for my errands and Valentine buying.. AFTER going to the PO to get cards in the mail! PHEW! The kiddos are out for midwinter break now! Tomorrow-Monday... what shall we do....:)

I have a few goodies to share!! this first one is something I did awhile ago.. thought I shared it.. guess I didnt!! I got the idea from here her blog is a must visit daily for me!! I used my bigshot die for this.. added some bling around the scallops, flowers and a tag!! Thanks to my owe so GREAT model for holding it for me!





















We already ate the candy! HA HA!!!

and FINALLY!! :) I have a new LOVE... Papertray Ink I LOVE that place.. I visit all their designers blogs.. I wont link them all but I will link you HERE which is Nicoles blog.. she has all the designers linked, and she has some FABULOUS ideas!
So here is what I did up for my mommy for Valentines day... Cupcake Bites from Bakerella (she has red velvet COOKIES up today... I gotta check them out!) ok sorry side tracked! :) anyway... I put some ribbon around the side of the tin (forgot photo!) filled it with the cupcake bites.. my mom LOVED them at Xmas.. and when your skinny arsh size 0 mom likes some sort of treat you make it AGAIN for her! :) The inside of these are choc. cake, van. frosting, cinnamon, choc. bits , and pecans.. Oh my they were good! :) then I stamped with my new stamps (papertray ink!) punched, punched some more, then tied it all with that yummy poppy red ribbon (papertray ink- yeah you get it I LOVE them!)

YUMMY SHARES!! :)

Ok it is still SNOWING here... what is UP with.. I dont want snow.. until next Dec.. isnt anyone LISTENING! LOL!!! :)

So today I am gonna share some food! YUMMO!! and a card (that I thought I shared!!)

Lets get started first off I made this for my lunch with my friend Holly it was YUMMY!! and then we had it for dinner! :) Lets just say if your gonna visit their Blog and get some recipes you wont be DIETING that day! HA HA!! Oh my.. but sometimes that is ok.. the name of the blog makes me LAUGH!!! Smokin, Chokin, and Chowing with the King! :) Thanks Mel for the blog link!





















Then last weekend I made THIS yummy (NOT on my diet EITHER!!!) burger for dinner! Got this recipe from The Pioneer Women It was soooo GOOD!! Now you see that PLAIN burger.. that was my PICKY girls burger.. the rest of us LOVED them.. YEP even Steve and Justin ate blue cheese.. trust me with the carmalized in BROWN SUGAR onions.. it is DELISH!! :)

















Now the Onion Rings are from my Hungry Girl cookbook! They are on my diet! LOL!! I used fiber one for the coating.. NOW they werent like Red Robin Onion Rings (which I can make too! ;) ) BUT they were a good enough replacement to get my over a craving! :) Now that I LOVE!! Amanda not so fond of them... she couldnt pick off the coating and eat only that!! hee hee!!





















Well now that you have seen a TREND.. TOTAL no diet eating! I need to CHANGE that! GRRRRR I want to wear those shorts this summer that are just gathering dust... so no more of that stuff.. OK I know that isnt true.. but only once in awhile AND after I have worked out!! :)

Now this little share is from a challenge at Moments 2 Remember that my friend Mara issued last month to use a transparency on a LO or card! This is for my auntie.. she doesnt see this blog so I am safe to share it! and HELLOOOO I am done early.. her birthday is the end of the month!! :) NOW to be sure I mail it in time!!

My week FLEW by!!! :) Wowy!! So my update is again for the Biggest Scrap Loser over at SD4U I know all of these are 1 pagers, but I WILL be getting all my side 2s done when this contest is done.. the good news.. 5 more LOs finished.. 5 more will be finished.. well 4 at the moment! LOL! but 5 by the time the challenge is done!! :)

Soooo if this doesnt make me want to cry... sigh... my sweet girl.. almost 8 years ago... time FLEW... to fast for me!!!




















I found this in my HUGE HUGE piles of unscrapped photos.. I have about 4 more from that day.. I need to see if I can get them fixed.. they are a bit fuzzy.. it was about 3 cameras ago! LOL!! :) I have my PSE.. I think I can.. right! Wish me luck! they are pretty cute.. I could still scrap them.. but would like her face a bit clearer in the others!!!

I have been playing over at Scrapbook Deals 4 U doing their Biggest Scrap Loser Challenge! this was week 3! I had a hard time with it! If I dont know what I want to scrap sometimes I OVER STRESS things.. So I just sat down with this photo that I took last summer at the beach... Oh I want to go back... anyway!! :) I was happy with how it turned out.. and I am gonna frame it I think for my scrappy space!! :)

For my next challenge you had to alter/create something to give as a gift! I made up this mini album for Amanda to put her photos in of Her and Marie (her American Girl dolly!) It was an EGGO box before this! I was able to get 2 mini albums from it!!

Happy Friday!! This was a FAST week for me!! Kiddos had monday off for MLK day.. it was COLD but soooo BEAUTIFUL! We went on a picnic!! Tuesday the big Inauguration Day.. I watched way more if it then I planned.... then BOOM wed-friday and HELLO weekend!!

I have been working on somethings... this is for the Biggest Scrap Loser challenge at SD4U I will work on side 2 this weekend!! Gonna play along sunday I HOPE at a crop at Fiskateers

Ok enough of that ~ here is the LO.. Amanda wanted a new do ~ so we braided her hair last night at bedtime then took it out this AM.. she was so excited, and it looked so cute!!! NOW she wants new Dos.. OFTEN! LOL! :)





















I then I made up this little cutie... it is from THIS Youtube video... it is made from empty TP rolls!! hee hee! Going green has never been so CUTE and FUN! LOL!! I havent done the inside pages yet.. it will be filled with photos from a little photo shoot I have planned!












I still have my Thank You card to share, BUT since they arent yet recieved.. BAD ME! I need to wait.. they are going out today .. probably tomorrow since it is so late.. SORRY DEAR SWEET FAMILY!! I am BEHIND!!! :) sigh.. anyway.. Hopefully next week I will have even more to share!!!

Oh you should see my scrappy space.. Amanda told me she was so proud of me.. well I had a nice dent in it.. never mind some was still in the hall.. but today I did the ONE ONE layout.. and it is a WRECK! You would think I scrapped 20 layouts! LOL!!!

So you know what I did today.. NOTHING.. Ok we cleaned and I did some laundry.. I had big hopes of creating and I didnt! WHY I dont know! Steve sat on the couch and watched football ALL DAY.... I did go outside and take Amanda to the park.. and we played in the yard... so it wasnt a total uneventful day! Course now I want to go create something.. and it is almost time for the movie we are gonna watch! So I guess maybe TOMORROW will be creating day!!

I do have some goodies to share!! You all know I have a SAD SAD ADDICTION to Youtube well if you didnt you will realize it now, and over the next few shares.. I have got so many FUN ideas from THIS gal!! She has all her videos on her blog...but I found them at Youtube... so here are a couple things I made up this week! :)

I used my NEW bigshot to emboss the paper.. I LOVE that little machine! I got some fun new dies I cant wait to use too!!!

OK one more goodie I made AGAIN from Youtube this is for Amanda... shhhh gonna surprise her in her lunch next week! I think Justin will just want the candy..so that is what he will get.. maybe a little heart on top.. he is in 6th grade now I cant do those lovey dovey things in class for him.. SIGH! ok back to where I was going with this!!!














You can find the video for directions HERE I have a really hard time getting the smaller meaurements done for scoring like the 11/16ths etc.. so I did the 2 1/4 inch one then just wrapped the box and marked where I needed to score.. a bit easier for me!!

Justins New Glasses!

Viva Las Vegas!!

I had a GREAT GREAT time on my little 25 hour getaway!!! I have the LO title already and cant WAIT to scrap the photos!! :)

A big BIG thanks to my mom for coming down friday to watch the kiddos so I could fly to Vegas for the night! and meet Steve who was there since Wednesday for CES! I have NEVER left the kids and just on a whim thought I would see if she was available! She was... and what a FUN 25 hours it was!!! Thought I would share some photos with ya!! :)

Now if your wondering.. YES the kids were upset with me! BUT do you want to see what made it alright....















yep sleeping in the tent! It was Amandas idea.. and she was so excited.. she still wasnt offically happy I was going, BUT she did think it would be fun to CAMP in the tent.. so after we got it up Thursday night.. she asked to camp that night.. I said NOPE! Gotta wait for tomorrow! I wanted them to have something to look forward to! other then a stiff back or 2, mom and Justin! they had a GREAT time... so great Amanda told Tutu , that Steve and I could leave again sometime! HA HA!!! Ok I may not wait 12 years for the next get away!!

So I had BIG plans to SCRAP today.. well Steve is home not feeling so swell.. which means I gotta look like I am BUSY and clean right! LOL! I do have a vision for some cards I am gonna work on!! I need to get off the computer and do that! :) and clean and fold clothes.. I will be scrappen this week! I got a new CK book and I want to try an idea from it.. :)

I want to scrap!

and you know what I have NOOOO TIME! SIGH!!! But next week I am SCRAPPEN!! I am ignoring everything else but my SUPPLIES... Ok I will clean the dishes and the clothes!!! Amanda LOVES her new American girl doll from Santa.... and YES before you ask.. I had her dress in the pink just for that photo! HA HA! She had gotten the pink coat new, and she had the Build A Bear pink coat.. and it fit her dolly! I couldnt resist!!! :)

FINALLY!!!!

I got some scrap time in! It isnt a big LO it is for my COOL 7 Gypsies Photo Carousel it is one of my most favorite photos of the season! My sweet Amanda and just as sweet my niece Allybug! Arent they cute!! This was from Xmas eve when we were at my grandparents house!! Kimmie gave me that lovely poinsettia in a set for Xmas... I thought it was perfect for the photo!! Wanna know a SECRET... I know ya do! :) See the "stitching" at the top of the photo... WELL I didnt want to search for my black embroidery thread..so I used 3 small X stickers! hee hee!! I like how it turned out!! Faux Stitching BethieJ style! HA HA!!

I got this cutie pie punch at my LSS.. I am PATIENTLY?? waiting for Micheal's to get them in.. they are from Martha Stewart... and I KNOW they will get them in.. there is a CUTE heart I want.. looks like a doily heart.. and a fun glitter set! All of which I soooo do not need~ but ya know... I want them! HA HA!!!

She DID IT!!!!

Yes my girl FINALLY got her ears pierced... we TRIED 2 other times, without success... Today she was READY.. so off to Claires we girls went! :) She was a bit nervous.. a few tears when it was over.. but she did GREAT! Dad and Justin couldnt believe she did it!! :) Take a little peek! She is so EXCITED!!!!



















and REALLY REALLY I do have more photos to share.. I just need to finish up stuff around here and then I will sit down and resize them all! I HOPE to get some printed and get scrappen too!!! YEAH!!
