Happy Rainy Day!

So where did our sun go!! One day isnt enough for me I need it BACK! LOL!!! So since we couldnt play outside we played inside!!!

Here is what the kiddos and I did today! Trying to reuse more things.. so here is some fun mini albums! I cut the covers out of the boxes.. then let the kids decorate them anyway they want! :) NOW to get some photos for inside!!!

found! I LOVED this photo of the kids! it is actually just cropped from the family photo I shared in the acrylic album!... I got in super close so you couldnt see Steve and I! You can see a messy face, but I LOVED it!! Printed it 4 times! LOL!!

Ok I have to admit I have a new addiction to The Pioneer Women Cooks! I cant stop finding YUMMY recipes on her site!! I shared this recipe in an earlier post.. I made it again.. and sharing a photo!!!

It is just seriously the BEST salad ever ever ever~ hee hee!! Steve likes it, Justin likes it.. and the BEST part is.. you just toss in whatever veggies you have, I totally adjusted the recipe to fit what we had... carrots, peppers, red onion, zucc., bean sprouts, and we add chicken!! Again for my dressing I used the sesame dressing from Trader Joes.. just to use it up, but I added some of her dressing stuff to just to jazz it up ~ and YUM!! It will be made all summer long here... and you see that platter... she always says put things on a platter that makes your heart pitter patter... that made me pitter patter last week at Kohls.. I had to buy it! I used some of my winnings from the slots before the concert.. I LOVED it.. and I LOVED the bowl... but I walked away from that $50 beauty! SIGH! I do have some control~! HA HA!!!
Ok there is my food share! Since our sun was hiding last week I did some scrappen!! Want to see! :) Some Beach, some 4th, and some FALL! (yeah I am BEHIND... way BEHIND.. 10 years but who is counting!!)

My day today!

So today was cloudy and not so summery here!! I spent my time in the kitchen!! :) Oh and a load of laundry! :)

This is what I made today!! :) Arent these the cutest!! I got the blog info from my friend Mara she has been baking lots of fun stuff lately and totally gotten me bitten by the baking bug! :)

These little cuties can be found at the Bakerella Blog Such CUTE ideas!!!
They took me about 3 hours to make, because for some reason I ONLY got ONE candy mold... I did that version... candy mold not using the cookie cutter... So next trip to Mikes I am gonna get 3 more! I am so gonna make these AGAIN! and AGAIN!!! Cant you see CUTE pumpkin faces on them for fall... and xmas ones... so FUN!! The kiddos helped me decorate them, and EAT them of course!

We also made MORE Jam!!! We got strawberrys from our yard and our neighbors.. had to get a few from the store.. still not up to the 4 cups so I tossed in my raspberries I had! So it turned into Strawberry Raspberry Jam... and it was YUMMY! :)


Then I have been on this homemade salsa kick! My cousin made it using canned tomato's and it was sooo GOOD! I usually make mine with fresh... well I still do have a fresh version but this one is just yummy!! I did actually use 2 tomatos I roasted on the BBQ in it, I like that~ we are having tacos tonite just so we can use it! YUM!! Dinner is a 6:30 if you want to join us! LOL!!


And finally I did this.. I didnt get to scrap but I got in my playroom, I made this little box to take over some of the cupcake bite treats to our neighbor! The kiddos watch their cat when they go out of town, they are just super nice, and she leaves goodies for the kiddos, so we took them some jam (strawberrys were from their garden too!) and the cupcake bites! Had to have a CUTE way to take them over! :)

I just love those boxes I soooo am gonna get a head start and make some for the holidays!! hee hee! I ALWAYS say these things... Ask me Dec. 15th what I have done! HA HA!!

Happy Monday!!!! What a GREAT weekend we had!!!! Friday I got to go to a Lemon Drops and Flip Flops party at my friend Traceys house! Then saturday we got a new car! (sorry NO photo yet.. This week I PROMISE!!) We got a 2006 Honda Accord, it is really nice, the kids love it.. Justin said it was TIGHT! I hope he thinks it is TIGHT in 7 years when he gets it , and Steve and I get the convertible 2 seater TIGHTER ride! HA HA!!!! :) Then Saturday night we did THIS....

and TOBY KEITH!! in concert!!




What a GREAT show it was!! We saw Montgomery Gentry last year they just get the crowd PUMPED up.. they are great showmen!
We havent seen Toby in 5 years.. WOWY! what a SHOW!! He was so much FUN! Lots of fireworks, and shooting confetti! His stage was a HUGE Ford truck grill~ so COOL! The weather was GREAT.. we stopped by the casino before hand.. won a little bit and had a not so great dinner! BUT it was DATE night so that made it alright!!! THANKS Tutu for watching the kiddos!!!
Sunday we went to spend the day with our friends in Bellingham, it was FUN, drove the new car again, it drives really nice... I just feel so LOW after driving the Yukon!! Which I will still drive... but it will be nice to have the smaller car when we have lots of errands to do!!!
Today the kidlets and I are hanging out, I hope to get some SCRAP time in.. Oh I mean clean time in! :) (that was in case Steve is reading this! HA HA!!) and tonite our Justin will SUIT up for football... or at least meet his coach and get his gear... I need some wine now please... I KNOW he will love it.. but oh my BABY playing football!!! Ok gonna SMILE, be STRONG and take LOTS of photos! (I have some FUN paper to use for the layouts! :) hee hee!)

Happy Saturday.. or if your Steve and I happy DATE night,.. Happy TOBY KEITH night!! YEAH! it is the concert... and where is our sun.. I am wearing shorts... it is summer not caring if it is out.. course it would HELP if it was out! LOL!! :)

So today at Itty Bitty Scrap Shackthey are having a GRAND re-opening crop!!! Lots of FUN challenges come over and play if you can!! Here is my challenge
and here is what I did for it! This will be the opening page for our beach trip this year!!! This is the first time in 10 years I have done a LO this way.. and the 1st time in our books I have.. Justin got the last one in his book! Yeah I know I am WILD! HA HA!!!!



So that is about all I have to share... hoping to bake some FUN this weekend but dont think it is gonna happen!! So next week for sure! :) Cant believe July is half over.. WHERE does time go! We are having a SUPER fun summer!! I am helping TRAIN Justin!! Football starts in 2 weeks, and he wants to be READY... I am so proud of him.. his running has improved 100% and he just keeps on going and TRYING,.. I am also helping Amanda get ready for soccer! She is doing GREAT! She doesnt enjoy 1 and a half hour training sessions like Justin! LOL! But that is ok.. she is fast and can kick! :) So I told Steve can I put on my resume now Personal Trainer to sports stars?!! HA HA!!!

Happy Sunday! :) I am just sitting here and feeling like rambling! LOL! So that is what your gonna get! :) Ramblings, Recipe shares, and a layout I did this week! Arent you lucky!! :) LOL!!! :)

This is what I made this week with our strawberrys from our little garden!! YUM!! Amanda is my model! I asked for the hand photo and she wanted the taking a bite photo, hey I will take ANY PHOTO if they are asking! LOL!!!!



and if your interested here is where I got the recipe! BUT!!! I added a few things from the reviews! I used 1 1/4 cup of WW flour (the kids didnt even know!) 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1(+) tsp. of vanilla! I did cut the berries and let them sit about an hour or so (a bit longer since we were eating dinner!) then just added the berries and juice right in! they were good really moist!! and we still have some! That is gonna be my breakfast!! :)

Also this week I made this YUMMY salad found on this blog The Pioneer Women Cooks Her blog is so funny!! and has some YUMMY recipes I am so making the orange mini muffins with brown sugar glaze, and apple dumplings! (No diet that day!) , and AMAZING photos on it!!!

and FINALLY~ this is what I did this week!! I hoped to get more done.. but the one I am working on is just sitting there, BUT I think I have a break through in my mind to finish it now... I hate when I have a vision and then get stuck on the layout because the vision isnt flowing!! Maybe tomorrow I can get it together! :) But for now I leave you with Ice Cream, and a Kiss! :)

We are HOME!

We had such a FUN FUN time on our trip!!! I have lots of photos to share!! :) But here are just a few!

The Water Park was so FUN! Our room was really cute, the kiddos loved it their room was like a cave, with a TV in it! they loved laying in bed watching it after the water park! the LOVED the bunk beds.. I think ALL hotels need them! LOL!!!! We played there for about 6 hours our first day, and a little over an hour on the 2nd! (we had to leave for Longview that day!) The kids could have stayed a week (PLUS! LOL!) I LOVED the big bucket... they had a 10,000 gallon bucket that dumped over the whole structure about every 3 minutes... you can see Steve looking back at it in one of the photos!!!

Then after the water park we were off to Longview for the 4th! We went to chinese for lunch at our FAVORITE place!! Then over to the lake, for some FUN! Justin, Amanda and I got tattoos- we couldnt talk Steve into it! LOL!! Then after the lake off to Nancys for a BBQ, and some fire works! Then BACK to the lake for the BIG firework show! Off to the hotel, then up early to head to the BEACH!

WE had such a fun time!! The weather was ok... pretty windy! No rain that is what counts! Saturday we met Larry, Kimmie and Buggy for lunch and shoppen! Then that night we went out to where they were camping with some of the family and hung out for dinner, and a drink or 3 or 10! :) That was me Steve was driving he was a good boy!!! :) Sunday....hung out in Long Beach, went to the beach!!! Monday the boys went golfing and Amanda and I went to the beach! :) and had a picnic!! Tuesday MORE beach fun before going home! it was super foggy I couldnt get the one photo I wanted so I had to do it a bit different! :)

Then we went BACK to Longview for chinese lunch (hey I told you we LOVED that place!!! YUM YUM!!) then HOME..... NOW I get to do 100 loads of laundry and unpack!! :) I already want another vacation!

IBSS July Reveal!

Today at Itty Bitty Scrap Shack it was my friend Zoa and my reveal day of the July
Kit!! I will let you see my 2 layouts, I showed 4 things, and Zoa showed three! You gotta go there to see! LOL!! :) Her work is just BEAUTIFUL ~ take a peeky at
her blog if you have some time!! and she has FOUR kiddos and gets all that beautiful stuff done... She is my HERO!!!! I have 2 kids and cant get 1/4 of that done!

and NO I am not gonna talk about that wild night! HA HA!!! :) Just know it was ALOT of fun... and went into the next day! ;)

Recipe Share!

I HAD to share this recipe with you!! I just made it and it was sooo GOOD!
I got it from Becky Higgins Blog


CORN & AVOCADO SALSA

1 can white corn, drained
1 can black-eyed peas, drained
1/2 bunch green onion, chopped
1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
4 med. tomatoes, chopped
3 avocados, chopped
1 pkg. Good Seasons Italian dressing mix

Mix together all ingredients and chill overnight.

I did only use 2 1/2 tomato's, since Steve and I arent crazy about them! I also added in some red onion... and my avocados were big so I only added 2! It was a BIG hit at our house and we will for sure be making it again! :) Like on the 4th of July when we go to Antzy Nancys BBQ!!

I got some scrappen done and will share that next week, I need to get a few more done for my DT assignment at IBSS when they are done I will just have a big ole blog entry of scrappy stuff!!

Our Concert!!!
Last night we went to see Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw at the White River Amphitheater ~ it was soooo FUN!! The weather was GREAT!! the show was FANTASTIC!!!!! We did stop by the casino for dinner and some FUN, we got there at the end of the 1st act, but in time for the other 2!! :)
We had great seats! I was able to sneak down the side to get some even closer photos!!!! :)

Something going on down front during the Indian Outlaw performance, Tim and his security pulled this guy out of the audience! and kicked him out of the show.. that was the excitement of the night! I want to know why! LOL!! At least he can say Tim McGraw himself yanked him up on stage and kicked him out of the concert.. he was right near the front row... I think we should have got to have his seat! LOL!!! :)
It was a FUN FUN night! NOW on to to the Toby Keith Concert Countdown!!! (24 days if you want to count with me!! :) )

Tonite we are off to the AquaSox game! The kids earned their free tickets from reading at school! they LOVE that!! and YEAH we have sun again today!! Think we will sneak to the park in a bit!!! First I want to TRY to finish a layout, or dare I say 2!! :) Dreams are FREE!!!

Happy Friday!! I am so ready for the weekend!! They say that the sun may be making an appearance- I sure hope so!!! :) I miss it! LOL!! I need it!!!

So we have had 3 days of summer vacation so far and really dont nothing much! LOL!!
Well we did make THIS

BLACKBERRY JAM!! My favorite!!! YUMMY!!! :)

I have been up in the scrappy room (which is gonna be getting CLEANED next week! Sigh it is pretty bad!! enough of that!) I will share when I finish ~ hopefully today!!
I did get some FUN new digi things from The Lily Pad it has some of the CUTEST things!! My sweet SIL Kimmie said it reminded her of things I liked! She was right! Oh my! Such fun things and some BARGIN prices on some holiday stuff! I did this yesterday just for fun,

I love this photo, how you can see their bare feet! To sweet! I have another one but this is the one uploaded so I used it! :) I LOVE this fun frame.. from the lily pad, and that flower... another set... Now to just find some time to work up some MORE fun stuff!!!

Tonite is BUNKO! Yeah moms night out! This weekend is Ginas birthday party! DANCE DANCE DANCE!! the theme is dance! YEAH!! That will be fun!!
So that is our weekend, tomorrow we are also going to our FAVORITE Chinese restaurant- good thing it is a 2 hour drive away from us, or I would be there every day! HA HA!!!

So that brings me to my next topic! I am gonna start yet another blog, well because the 2 I have arent enough ~ HA HA!! I want to start a place where I can track my workouts and eating... I have a journal but I dont write in it, I am always on the computer so I figure WHY NOT!! :) When it is going I will post here and if you have any YUMMY healthy recipes to share please do! I am always looking for YUMMY recipes!!!

We had so much FUN!!!! Thought I would share some photos!!

We had a really fun time today!! The sun came out~ the food was good, she loved her gifts... and Kimmie cleaned my kitchen! (THANK YOU!) it was a PERFECT day!!!

I realized I didnt scan the LO I made for my mom but if you look close in the photo you can see it~ the photos were from when she was about 6 months old! To cute! She liked the cake I made her.. here that is... I didnt want to share it before, in case she was peeking here and saw it!!!!

I got the idea from the Basic Grey Newsletter!!! Now I want one! LOL!!!

Happy Friday... well it is the day before the BIG party!! I am almost ready! YEAH! I have to finish a bit of cleaning then go to Costco and the grocery store... make 3 salads and the cake and I am DONE! (see nothing much left at all!!)

So yesterday I took the kiddos to the farmers market in Snohomish, and got THESE! Hello $28 for 4 BIG bundles of flowers! HOW can you go wrong??!!!

So they are in vases just WAITING for the party tomorrow!!!!

Been super busy with school stuff for the kids too, PARTIES!! Field Trips, Their field day!!!! They are out tuesday the 17th and we are ALL READY for summer vacation and some SUNSHINE! :)

So that is about all I got... today the nice UPS truck is gonna drop THISoff for me! YEAH! I cant wait til next week to PLAY with it! I LOVE it!! Soooo pretty!!!

Aren't you lucky!! LOL!! :) Really I am just taking a cleaning break... or stalling from doing any more I guess is more like it! LOL!!!!

Thought I would share a fun photo I took Wed. from the raven racer pizza party at the kids school!!! It was the coldest one we have been too! But still the rain held off for us!!! We ran/walked laps every wed. at the school, I went for both kiddos, Justin ran 286 (1st in his class ! YEAH! first time ever he has done that!) Amanda got 175ish.. that means mom got 461 total! YEAH! :) This is for my Foto Friday share at 2SCD's I love they do that, it is fun to see photos people take over the week!!!

Happy WET thursday if your here where we are.... sigh... have I told you all yet I am TIRED of the rain.... it is June and so cold last week I almost took out my gloves for Justins last flag football game! SIGH!! OK enough of that! I have stuff to share!!

I joined this sketch class for some FUN! I LOVE her sketches, and am looking forward to scrappen with over 375 scrap buddies during it! :) She is having some pre-class challenges, and that is what I did for this LO using her sketch as inspiration! :)


Those were taking Dec. 06 of the kids for a gift I made mom for xmas! I knew when I saw the sketch those were the photos I wanted to use!!!

Some EXCITING news for my mom! She is racing in the Worlds Triathlon saturday in Canada!! GO MOM!!!! This article was in her local paper!!! How EXCITING is that!! We are so PROUD of her!!! KICK BUTT MOM!! (sorry for the language! LOL!!)

We are so busy getting ready for the last day of school, and moms party, which is here next saturday! so if you dont see me for awhile that is why! I have lots to do, and little time to do it! :) But THINK of the photos I will have when I get some time back! LOL!! :)

We did get to go boating last week, I got some fun photos, will share those later...
Think sunshine wishes PLEASE so the kiddos dont have to have their field day (their end of the year fun day) canceled tomorrow!

One FUN weekend!!! - Lots of photos to share!

We got to spend the weekend at Papa and Dedes cabin in Hoods Canal!!! Larry, Kimmie and Buggy (isnt her blog cute, I gotta figure out how to do that! :) ) brought up Papa and Dede so we had a good size group there to PLAY! :) The weather was BEAUTIFUL on saturday and sunday! We sooooo werent expecting this... I only had 1 pair of shorts for the kids! YIKES! but it is the canal, so we just let them wear them both days! LOL! and Monday it was time to go home and raining so into jeans they went! It was so nice Papa and Dede could join us, not sure how many more times we will get to do that all together so it was especially nice!!! We ate to much good food! :) It was vacation right! LOL!! We did play outside alot so I am hoping that evened it all out! The kids love the "beach" which is really just a ton of rocks and oyster shells and of COURSE Justins little crabbies he likes to hunt! Justin and Steve went Kayaking for the 1st time ever, or friends the Sari's were at their cabin and let them go out... they asked me but that is just to small of boat, and way to close to the water for me! LOL! I need a nice cushion to sit on! :) Then for the first time ever the kids went out in the small row boat by THEMSELVES!! Um lets just say I wasnt around when this was approved! LOL! But they had a GREAT time... so I guess that is ok! :)
and of course LOTS of bike riding, and some monkey in the middle! LOL!! What a fun weekend! It just really got me in the mood for SUMMER VACATION!!!!!! :) It is so close I can just FEEL it!!!! :)
